A member of our staff has this 2 piece computer armoire in his home and swears by it. The pullout keyboard spans the width of the unit give plenty of space for a mouse pads, paper and even a wide screen laptop computer. The pullout is deep enough for a stand piece of paper to fit on should you decide to use it as a writing surface as well.
When open the bi-fold doors are held together with magnets keeping them out of the way. In the center over the monitor opening is ample storage for software or music cd's. The dividers shown in the picture all can be removed for great flexibility in storage. This goes for the vertical dividers on the right side shelving and the horizontal dividers on the left side.
In the base there are 2 drawers on the right side that give plenty of storage for files and other necessities of a home office. The bottom drawer is set up to be a lateral file complete with the metal bars for hanging standard sizes files or the larger legal sized files. The top drawer has a couple of wood dividers in it that are perfect for dividing envelopes and mail. The left side has 2 pullout shelves that work great for a printer and a scanner. One the great features of the pullout shelves is that they can easily be removed should you need the extra space for a large printer.
